Getting started
Is PrimerLedger free to try?
Yes. Every feature is free for 3 months (90 days), and you do not need a card to start. After that it is ₱299 a month per company.
Is it hard to learn if I only know Excel?
No. You type invoices and expenses the way you did in your spreadsheet, and the totals, balances and reports add themselves up. There is no chart of accounts to set up and no accounting jargon.
How do I start?
Sign up with your e-mail, confirm it, and a short setup asks for your company name, TIN and the kind of business you run. You can create your first invoice a few minutes later.
Using PrimerLedger
Does PrimerLedger file my BIR taxes?
No. PrimerLedger keeps your records and shows the tax on your invoices and expenses, but it does not prepare or file BIR returns. Your accountant can export everything they need to Excel in one click.
Can my accountant or bookkeeper use it?
Yes. Invite them with the Accountant role. They can work in your books and export the ledger to Excel, CSV or PDF, and every change they make is in the activity log.
Can customers pay me in parts?
Yes. Record each payment (cash, bank transfer, GCash, check or card) and the invoice moves from Unpaid to Partial to Paid with the right balance.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. PrimerLedger runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.
Price and billing
What happens after the 3 free months?
Subscribe for ₱299 a month and keep going. If you do not, your company becomes read-only: you can still open and export everything, but you cannot add or change records until you subscribe. Your data is never deleted for non-payment.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or GCash: you get a reference number, pay, and upload the receipt in Settings, then Billing. Online payment by card, GCash and Maya is on the way.
Is VAT included in the price?
To be confirmed : whether the price includes VAT is being confirmed with our accountant.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from Settings, then Billing. You keep full access until the end of the month you paid for, and you can resume before then.
Do you charge per company?
Yes. Each company has its own ₱299 subscription and its own 3-month free trial. One login can switch between all the companies you belong to.
Your data
Where is my data stored, and is it safe?
Your data travels over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, every company's records are kept apart at the database level, every change is logged, and backups run every night. We will name the data-centre location here once production hosting is final.
Can I export my data if I leave?
Yes, any time: during the trial, while subscribed, and after your company becomes read-only. Invoices, expenses and the ledger export to Excel, CSV or PDF.
What if I delete something by mistake?
Deleted records go to the Recycle Bin and can be restored with one click. Only an Admin can remove something permanently, and they have to type DELETE to confirm.
